Green Initiatives

At the El Dorado Hotel and Kitchen we have successfully applied a wide range of environmentally friendly practices in an effort to enhance our planet’s and our guest’s wellbeing. El Dorado is proud to do our part, from energy and water conservation to recycling. We have implemented many eco-friendly initiatives, including:

• Extensive recycling programs including converting fryer oil to Biodiesel fuel
• Furnishings, flooring and other elements created from reclaimed, natural products
• Cuisine featuring locally grown produce largely from small, organic farms
• Landscaping featuring drought-tolerant plants
• "Green Sealed" non-toxic cleaning products used in all guest rooms and public areas
• Green linens and towels program that conserve water usage
• Employees encouraged to lessen the carbon footprint by carpooling, biking or walking to work
• Eco-friendly packaging
• Hotel Swimming pool is Solar Heated
