At El Dorado Hotel & Kitchen, we have always prided ourselves on the concept of true hospitality, especially as a reputable and cohesive hotel and dining experience. We take service seriously and believe in the power of memorable stays and unforgettable meals.
We have spent the last two months, not only preparing for our reopening but also, enhancing the El Dorado experience so that it is the best it’s ever been, at a time when you need it most. Our goal is to make you feel as normal as possible while behind the scenes we are keeping you safe and well.
We feel fortunate that our intimate size and attentive service standards allow us to truly cater to our guests needs. We understand our guests may have more questions so for your peace of mind, we want you to know specifically what we are doing.
A few changes to our offerings
El Dorado Kitchen will continue to offer take-out style service in order to provide guests an option to dine in-room or to be enjoyed at any of our nearby parks.
Prior to your stay
Once your reservation is confirmed, you will be given our texting number to be utilized to streamline any requests before, during and shortly after your stay. In order to ensure that your guest room is curated with your personal preferences, we will provide an email questionnaire 10 days prior to arrival.
A touchless check-in protocol has been crafted for your arrival experience to the property. We will be expecting you at the time you indicated on your questionnaire and will be ready to welcome you for “touchless” check-in in our Lobby area. Reusable masks and travel sized hand sanitizer will be available upon request at the front desk along with hand sanitizing stations configured throughout the property.
In your guest room
In your guest room, you will find the following
- A welcome letter outlining our new safety protocols
- El Dorado Kitchen’s take out menu available for pick up
- A list of snack bar items available for purchase
- Reusable glass water bottles that have been thoroughly sanitized to adhere to CDC guidelines
We’ve always believed in the art of housekeeping, in fact, to the point of obsession. Cleanliness is one of our most commonly received compliments. We continue to pride ourselves on our approach, however for your ease of mind, we would like to share with you our fresh housekeeping protocols.
Stayover service will be available upon request only. Housekeeping will not enter the room unless specifically requested by the guest. We have allotted extra time during the housekeeping process in order to pay extra close attention to all touchpoints including light switches, fans, shade pulls, faucet handles and remote controls.
Additionally, some soft goods such as throw pillows and throw blankets will be removed from guest rooms. Please let us know if you would like any additional pillows and blankets delivered.
We’re fortunate to have an open-air pool area for our guests to enjoy. We have reconfigured the chaise lounges to comply with social distancing. Additionally, our team will be monitoring and housekeeping the pool area each 30 minutes for your safety.
We’re fortunate to be located directly on Sonoma Plaza alongside shops, tasting rooms and galleries yet also surrounding a spacious open air park. With everything within walking distance and access to nearby bike trails, Sonoma is an incredible destination only 1 hour from San Francisco to escape for a much-needed getaway.
Health is wealth
All guests of El Dorado are legally required to report any signs of illness, symptoms or potential exposure. Anyone with a fever, showing signs of illness, or exhibiting virus symptoms will be advised to see a doctor immediately and asked to leave the property. Similarly, our team members are legally required to do the same.
Wearing is caring
Masks are required to be worn by everyone within the hotel, including guests, team and vendors. Our entire team is trained on the importance of taking precautions to provide a safe environment for our guests. We’ve always been good at smiling with our eyes and even more so now.
